Project Veritas - Who Came First?
In 2010, James O'Keefe seemed to narrowly avoid jail time when he and three others were arrested for allegedly attempting to manipulate the phones in Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu's office. Since it doesn't seem like they were actually successful, the felony charges were dropped and reduced to a misdemeanor for entering a federal building under false pretenses. The judge in this case said that these aspiring investigative journalists needed to learn where to draw the line.
