The Importance of Baptism in the New Testament

Baptism is connected to the saving act of god by means of water that brings people into that temporal kingdom. So baptism fulfils that same kind of role, but it does it in a truer sense than those old testament types do. There there is no reason, grammat within the text itself, to separate baptism from the forgiveness of sins. And i think that's especially true just in terms of the actual question that's being asked and how to get away from that guilt. In baptism, you receive those two things, forgiveness of sins and the gift of the holy spirit.
