Bobby Seale was a member of the Revolutionary Action Movement. He and his friend Robert F. Williams wanted to mount armed patrols in black neighborhoods for self-defense against police brutality. Their demands were reasonable if you shared their perspective that blacks in America were a captive population of colonial subjects which is how they saw it. They demanded an exemption of blacks from all military service as American blacks were victims of colonialism.
