In a japanese style of teaching, would show a one problem, and then you would have multiple methods of how to solve the problem. So it's a a completely different way of trying to teach that. And ou know, this is just one of many examples in this book. I've spoken now for n hour about variation and discernment and how this is important to think about in in teaching. But just these two different things here, this and also the example with the pretesting thing, where something akin to discovery learning turned up and was useful in one way or another.
