I played backgammon with my dad more or less every night for most of my youth. That is honestly what probably shaped me most. I grew up in Reno and Reno is a gambling town. So of course it's important for you to have all those gambling skills. But like I play a pretty good game across all the games of chance and skill. Backgammon is both. It's a game of skill and chance. And I think it's a perfect metaphor actually for business because it really forces you into having to deal with the situation that's right in front of you.
