What Is Consciousness?

There are lots of philosophical schools of thought that give you different answers to this. And typically, we don't know because science is limited to physical objects and empirical evidence. But clearly, there is something called consciousness that all living beings share. So who am I? Am I beyond mind? I don't know. From a scientific perspective, I can't say much about that.
