What Have You Learned From Working With Fruit Flies?
Fruit flies have persistent internal states that accompany behaviors like aggression and courtship. There are different sex specific neurons in male and female fly brains that control that type of aggression. In mice, to which we're more closely related than flies, there are also male specific neurons that are involved in male aggression.
