The Doctrine of Original Sin

Without a historical Adam and Eve there can really be no doctrine of original sin. We would have to revise a lot of what we believe, he says. If you were to find this doctrine, it's got to be someplace elsewhere in Scripture than in the story of the fall. And so I do not think that the classic doctrine is a good reason for holding to thehistorical Adam and Eve.
