The Federal Reserve has decided to hold off on an interest rate hike after a two-day meeting. It projected two more hikes for later this year, which could raise interest rates as high as 5.6% before the end of 2023. If the Federal Reserve had decided to hike up interest rates this week, that would have been its 11th consecutive interest rate increase.
