The College Board released the official curriculum yesterday. The Black Lives Matter movement and reparations are now listed as optional project topics. Several trailblazing black authors were removed, including Bill Hooks who wrote about race and feminism. Many people view this as creating an AP light in African-American studies.

The College Board piloted an AP course on African American Studies. Then, after conservative pushback, it debuted a revised curriculum. But the group insists it’s not caving to political pressure.
