Elizabeth Smith auditioned for the Juilliard School in Buffalo, New York. She was rejected because she had a speech impediment and needed to have her teeth capped. Her mother took her to an orthodontist and got her two front teeth capped. "It still remains one of the great moments, one of thegreat days of my life," says Smith.
