Couples think they're family and lose formalities, forget their strangers. They stop doing the things they would afford a stranger like check information or courtesy. It takes a lot of effort and consciousness to talk and think collaboratively at all times. If we're fatigued or under stress, we'll revert to speaking in a way that's unfriendly.
