How Do You Use a Hook in Git?

There are two types of hooks that you can leverage some are client side which means that they run on the engineer's computer. Others are server side so they can be hooks that happen once the server has received the commit and before it's published or after it's been received. They can sort of trigger events off of that so I don't think we're going to get into when to use these or not but we might talk about some of the advantages or disadvantages of using one of those two types.
