The TED Interview

CHAPTER

Is There a Level of Discomfort at Work?

In an ideal world, i would be designing office bases where there's plenty of spaces for people to do that. I'm actually a huge believer in people stepping outside their comfort zones and doing the stuff that's difficult. For all of us, whether we're introverts or extraverts, are craving for stimulation fluctuates throughout the day. And so you want people, when they're at their the moment where they need stimulation, you want them to have access to a nice social space. The moment that they need to chill it out,you want them to has access to that phone booth. Bcause that's how they'regoing to be most productive and happiest.
