Is It Too Late for a New Deal?

I think it could be, you know, countries have emerged from crises. I sometimes a crisis can actually be the lcatalist for a huge revival that is even greater than what came before. But i don't see really a way around the fact that our generation might be a little bit of a lost cause in the sense that we've just believed in something that was never really going to happen.
