How to Invest in People and Not in Ideas

Some of my greatest investments were the smallest checks I've ever written. Whether Facebook or Dropbox, both of those were 1000X return on investment off a very, very small tech. What I try to do is just use the business idea and the resume as sort of the area for talking about the person as an individual.
