Trump's Alleged Scheme to Catch and Kill Negative Stories About Trump
Prosecutors say the National Inquirer company paid a man $30,000 to keep him quiet so as to help Trump's chances in the election. Prosecutors then go out of their way later in the statement of facts to tell the court that the company eventually did investigate the story and decided that it wasn't in fact true. In both instances prosecutor Alvin Bragg said today that the bookkeeping around those payments the payment to the doorman the payment Karen McDougall resulted in false business statements being made on the books of the parent company that owns the National Inquiresr.
