The salt-imposterwater fallacy is when people think that putting salt in water makes it boil faster. It's wrong in an interesting way that makes it a specific fallacy, so that's what we should talk about. Getting cooked food isn't merely temperature versus time, right? That's not the case here. Increasing the cooking temperature doesn't necessarily decrease the time because it might not work out that well.
