Privacy is intended and unintended consequences. Privacy's intended consequence is increased adoption. Its unintended consequence will be a regulatory or deal and a consequential societal trade-off. The individual gains unparalleled privacy at the expense of the nation losing sovereignty. Some crypto enthusiasts believe that no organization or individual can be trusted. They proclaim everything on-chain needs to be trustless and decentralized. Sam disagrees. Trust is a good thing. Humans are inherently trusting. It's in our biology. Infant, developed pre-disposition to trust others because they cannot survive on their own. Technology is not going to rewire that, nor should it.
