Nickbostram: I'm worried about an artificial intelligence that deliberately tries to seem really stupid. The idea of deception is like one of the, maybe wakie slightly more syphi, but also more alarming possibilities out there. We might imagine an AI that becomes much smarter than it's letting on and then reveals how intelligent it has become at some later time. But that's a notion that you don't talk about that much in the book.
