Learn to Paint Podcast

CHAPTER

Color Temperature Is a Next Level Issue

I painted for years I never thought about color temperature aside from what I knew the basics which is reds yellows oranges are warm greens blues and purples are cool okay that's it. Rather than thinking about color temperature I like to think about saturation so if I'm taking a color from light into shadow I want to move it away from the tube I want to make it less saturated whatever I'm going to add to that it's going to darken it and neutralize it because we see less color in this way.
