J Todd Moy is the author of Let the People Decide, a book about the civil rights movement in Indianapolis and Sunflower County, Mississippi. The Citizens Council's expanded in size and influence all over the South. They would have employers threatened to fire employees so that if African Americans exercise their civil rights, they lost their job or home. We are fighting against these people because we love them and we only think and save them now.
