When i was growing up, the girls would always have these little white, roughly socks to go with their dress ishave. We couldn't do that until we were teen ages, which is funny thinking about now, because no one wears stockings any more. So i want to know more about this, and i called up ashley wade. Ashley's an assistant professor of english and african american studies at pen state university. Her research focuses on black girls everyday lives, especially how they use social media to construct their identities.
