The Importance of Pastiche Artists

The most acclaimed filmmakers between the ages of 45 and 60 are ultimately pastiche artists. Quentin Tarantino, Sofia Coppola, Spike Jones, obviously Wes,. obviously Fincher, obviously Paul Tom Sanderson grew up obsessed with movies. It is interesting to watch younger filmmakers who are less film literate who don't care about pastiche that did seem to be like this conclusive moment of Gen X filmmaking.
