What Does It Tell You About Stocks for the Long Term?

There's an assumption that stocks do great over the long term, which is a false assumption. As companies turn socialist and companies get big government, the stock market no longer do well. Japan was a great country in the 1980s; now it's down 25%. Another example is even Hong Kong, Hong Kong peaked in 2018,. It's down 37%. Belgium peaked in 1999, in their own local currency, it's down 82%. I think the point we have to make, we're talking about the stock market. The more you get away from the capitalist system, the more likely that the stock market won't do as well next time.
