The Paradox of Blind Faith
In the book of Genesis, God tells Abraham to sacrifice his only son Isaac. The story does end with God telling Abraham not to go through with it. But atheist Richard Dawkins has a point when he writes in the famous God delusion: A modern moralist cannot help but wonder how a child could ever recover from such psychological trauma. What kind of religion says you should do something that is plainly immoral just because you believe God says so? Only blind faith could view it otherwise.
