The Rise and Fall of Occupation Licensing
In the 1950s, survey responses would tell you that about one in 20 members of the American workforce needed a license to do their job. Today, the best numbers from survey data show it much closer to one in four members of the workforce need a license. I think we're on an upward trajectory for the first time in decades, and I have open expect that in five years and in 10 years, we're going to have even more good news to report than I have right now.
