The Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)

Dissociation happens when one mind seemingly fragments itself into multiple distinct centers of awareness. Each center has its own memories, its own personality dispositions, values and so on. Dissociation can literally make you blind to what is right in front of your open eyes. That's why living beings seem to have private mental inner life. Even though they are part of the broader mind of nature, they are blind to whatever is beyond their dissociative boundary.
