Is the RBA Really Trying to Counter That?
The Reserve Bank has been jacking up interest rates for the last six months. The cash rate was increased by 0.25% in May during the election, and then by half a percent each in June, July, August and September. Last week's inflation data for the three months to September showed prices had gone up 1.8%. And the annual rate was up to 7.3%.
