There's no reason to think Pirro was identified himself as a follower of Socrates. For that matter, except perhaps these Indian thinkers that he encountered on his expedition with Alexander. And for him, skepticism consists in suspending judgment. So you don't lay down the law about anything. You don't claim to have figured out the ultimate truth of things. Instead you contemplate all the opposing views on things and come to suspension of judgment because they all have equal credibility to you.
