I Don't Want to Do It This Way
Many people develop their own way of doing it, and actually that's the correct way to do it. Adversely, there is no absolute way of taking notes in college or or doing your job at your school. While some people might a skew to the side where they're extremely organized, others might be just more messy and less attentive to those things. And so i understand how that doesn't always lend itself to success in a school environment.
