The pushing and the holding method of isometric. If my objective is actually to work on the eccentric strength or with the objective of injury prevention, then my option would be using the using or the holding method. There's actually one study that actually shows that the pushing method is kind of mimicking the concentric contraction while the holding method seems to be more similar to eccentric contraction.
