The Santos and the Democrat Dilemma

Victor Navarrette: The Santos stunt was a public relations coup. It reset the national debate, sent the left into a frenzy and it boosted the census of star power at just the right moment. Trump is capable of doing that, but I don't understand why he thinks it's in his interest or why there are not people on the staff that are proofreading it. He says McConnell has now unleashed a lot of money at his stead through the Senate campaign finance committees. That seems to be helping in a certain number of the states where Republicans thought they were going to lose races.
