The Voice to Parliament - I Don't Support It

I had one thing that could never ever be taken from me and that was my connection to country. And it's something that I quite often find non-indigenous people find hard to fathom. As First Nations people, we have a history of distrust with the government. We continually have broken promises that are put forward. It's like telling people to sign a contract but read the terms and conditions after. So when you say that people haven't gotten together and talked about Indigenous recognition in the Constitution, I guess my question is, didn't they do just that when they came up with the statement from the heart?
