Alabama Republicans Defie an Order From the United States Supreme Court to Fix a Problematic Congressional Map

Supreme Court found Alabama in violation of the Voting Rights Act. In Alabama, one in four voters is black but Republicans constructed districts so only one of seven congressional districts was majority black. The court ordered Alabama to redraw the line,. so black voters would make up the majority of the majority or something quite close to it in two congressional districts not just one. To that, Alabama Republicans just basically said, no, we won't do it.
