The Importance of Dating Someone Who Reminds You of Your Parent

When we have had a troubled relationship with the parent as a child, it is certainly not uncommon to then find ourselves in relationships or at least one relationship where our dynamic with this person is plagued with a similar dynamic. You know, it's not necessarily dating someone who looks like your parent who has a similar personality to your parent; that definitely can happen. But once you get into a deeper relationship with them, you start to notice certain dynamics and what becomes familiar is a feeling that you had around them.
