The Importance of Parliament

You were elected in 2019. Was Parliament what you thought it was going to be? I mean, has it surprised you? What is it about the chamber and the building and the way that it operates? Yes, I don't think it's a functional place for decision-making to happen. You look at where there's huge pieces of legislation which are having a big impact on folks' lives. And you know, the government can ram it through in a day as people have little to know debate on it.
