How to Slow Down Your System and Get More Out of It
Think about your own stresses and begin to kind of maybe even list. What are the things that tend to send me spinning? Is it criticism? Is it when I've got too much on? Do I have a critical voice? Am I a perfectionist? Those types of things? And probably simplest behavior to start with, to kind of hack into your body is to slow down. So when you slow your system down, you take it from the heightened kind of hyperarousal state where your only way of reacting is to attack, freeze or fly."
