Lysurgic acid diathlomide was a drug only available to physicians explicitly for research research purposes. Part of the focus of lsd research was to induce psychosis in subjects, basically attempting to replicate mental illness through chemical torture. The little that we do know about the agency tests was revealed in the 19 seventies as part of the congressional investigation into the c i as covert m k ultra programme. But almost everything else remains unpublished. Researchers concluded that these subjects had experienced a temporary psychosis easily comparable to scisophrenia.
