The State Department Suspends Operations at the U.S. Embassy in Sudan
The State Department has suspended operations at the U.S. Embassy in Sudan's capital, Khartoum. There are still hundreds of American citizens who were on the ground; there is no plan to evacuate them. Democratic Senator Chris Coons: The best option would be a land route that goes from cartoon all the way over to Port Sudan on the Red Sea.
