Islamic Theology - Razi's Discourse on Islam
Razi held that God, in his benevolence and justice, has bestowed upon all humans the gift of reason or mind. With this emphasis on justice and reason, we may see a sign that he is drawing on ideas from contemporary Muatazalayt theologians. Razi draws another notable consequence from his conviction that God wants us to be free of suffering. He says it would be unjust and counterproductive for God to single out only certain people as prophets. It's hard to imagine a more fundamental rejection of Islam.
