Eunice Carter - A Woman, an African-American, and a Lawyer

Eunice Carter is the first black woman to receive a law degree from Fordham University. She was also the first African-American woman to pass the New York State bar. Eunice's grandfather had escaped slavery three times, then bought his freedom. Her father founded the Black Division of the Young Men's Christian Association.
