FDIC Depositors Above 250,000
Lonnie Borsuk: FDIC insurance or depositors above 250,000 has been part of a debate this week. He says it's interesting to see whether Congress can make any decision on that in the short term. But if you look at the last 20 years and the number of bank failures, he says, everyone would have to pay for banking system to be insured.Borsuk: I think what they'd have to fund is a $200 million target; banks could do it through their ROE.
