The Malagase Resistance to the Invasion
The malagase reaction to the invasion has been described as a sort of agitated apathy. Each man in the army had between ten and 15 bullets. The french gunboats, i guess, bombarded the malagase army, which promptly fled. There was a skirmish at mavatanana, and the hova army fled before they could get to them.
