I think there are things that are unpopular, people may not know about, that I find particularly interesting. If researched with the same amount of attention as other research is getting now, it could bring advances similar to what we've been seeing from more deep learning techniques. And some examples of that is, I think it is non- gradient based learning. There's a lot of untapped potential there.
