Gogi wrote shaitan makarafai in a koi. In English, it's called devil on the cross. He was attacked before publication and had one of his fingers chopped off. A year later he was forced into exile when he learned of a government plot to eliminate him. His second novel Madagari is about a mysterious hero who seeks truth from corruption.
