Community and Diversity

Li: I think community and d i are ly connected. You can't have one without the other. As soon as you decide to build a community, you are now creating a space with a set of social norms. And doing nothing is perpet ting it, and is a decision in itself. We had multiple transwomen on our team. We had trans men. We had non binary folks, and then we had people from all different ages and backgrounds, from students to adults. That was an education piece in itself.
