The Intimacy of Tone in Memories

I felt the memoir allowed me a more intimate voice than I'd had in the poems. You've also written poems about Jill, Skin and Blister. Could you tell us a little bit about that? Well, maybe it's the formality of them. There are 20 sonnets and one sestina. And it's their address to my, to Jill. Maybe that's what was different about the tone. But that's still the same idea of, you know, explain yourself.
