The Magic of the Fountain

A fountain in the mall in my hometown when I was a kid had a kind of a tile mosaic bottom that was always covered in pennies. And then my thought as a child was who gets to keep all that money? That's so much money when you collect all of them. You know, that's got to be tens of dollars. This is why that one scene in the goonies, I think, was so impactful. The extrapolation of our dreams of harvesting the coins of a Fountain.
