Project Maven - What You Shouldn't Know About Maven
Project Maven was an explicit partnership with the Department of Defense. The DOD's goal for Maven was to use AI to analyze massive amounts of image and video data from aerial vehicles operated by remote pilots. Using that analysis, the military could better identify what was happening on the ground. Google would later tell employees that the technology it contributed to Maven would only be used for non-offensive purposes.
